Bashir Mohamed

At H2A Bashir Mohamed provides consultations in agriculture research, dissemination of agricultural innovations and capacity building for the relevant stakeholders. Dr. Bashir holds a PhD in Global Science from Kobe University (Japan) and Master of Science degree in Agricultural Mechanization from Khartoum University (Sudan). Over more than 20 years as senior researcher, Dr. Bashir gained extensive professional experiences in conducting research and coordinating research projects at different scales, i.e. national and regional. He contributed to H2A policy making and shaping its future. Before H2A, he worked for Agricultural Research Corporation (ARC), Sudan as a water management, Climate Smart Agriculture (CSA), and remote sensing specialist. He has excellent communication and relationships with various partners (e.g., FAO, CIMMYT, IWMI, ICARDA, DFG. RUFORUM, etc.) giving him the ability to negotiate easily and work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders including private sector.
